The Deep Attachment project is located in a factory dormitory in Tangshan, Hebei province. The original space was a standard workshop with industrial elements and an orderly layout of spaces running up and down stairs. The limited lighting in the corridor added to the dullness of the space. However, Jun Zheng broke the monotony and transformed the space into a smart and relaxing living environment.
The main theme of the design is the color and freedom of pigeon wings. The space is open and airy, with layers that give the impression of pigeons soaring freely. Light floods the space, spreading its wings just like a flying pigeon.
Spanning a total of 1000 square meters, the Deep Attachment project showcases a modern, simple, and gentleman style. It exudes a sense of fashion and low-key elegance.
In this comprehensive space, every part of the home has been carefully considered. The designer aimed to simplify symbols and labels, allowing each area to evoke a unique feeling. The bedroom seamlessly connects with multiple leisure areas, creating a sense of rhythm and flow throughout the space. Whether it's brewing a pot of tea, meditating, or confiding in a friend, the Deep Attachment design offers a space for every experience.
One of the challenges faced during the design process was the integration of multiple pipe installations in the top portion of the space. The designer successfully merged contemporary language with the old space, infusing it with new energy and revitalizing its overall aesthetic.
The Deep Attachment project is a testament to Jun Zheng's in-depth thinking and holistic approach to design. The corridor, with its balanced layout, resembles the wings of a flying pigeon. The space seamlessly combines dynamic and static elements, with the kitchen and sitting room placed close to each other yet contrasting in style. As the night falls, the space takes on a hazy and enchanting atmosphere, with floral chairs and vibrant wall art inviting exploration and a connection with nature.
